Best LinkedIn MCP Servers in 2026: 12 Compared, Hosted and Local
The LinkedIn MCP servers people actually use, compared on how they reach LinkedIn, what they can do, what they cost and whether they put your account at risk. Checked October 10, 2026.
TL;DR. There are more than 50 LinkedIn servers in the official MCP Registry alone, but they reach LinkedIn in only three ways, and that choice decides almost everything else. Official-API servers (Composio, Taplio) are safe for your account but can't search people or read your inbox, because LinkedIn's public API doesn't allow it. Public-data servers (Bright Data, Apify, Anysite) never touch your account and are good for research, but they can't message anyone. Servers that act through your own LinkedIn account (stickerdaniel's open-source server, LinkFetch, gtm-api, Linked API) can do everything a person can, which also means LinkedIn can restrict that account. The most popular free option is stickerdaniel/linkedin-mcp-server; the main question for everyone else is hosted or local, and how much protection you want around your account. Every number below was checked on October 10, 2026.
Three ways a LinkedIn MCP server reaches LinkedIn
- LinkedIn's official API, through OAuth. No risk to your account, but the public API only covers your own profile, posting, company pages and ads. People search, other people's profiles and messaging aren't available to ordinary apps.
- Public data, scraped by the vendor. Profiles, companies, posts and jobs that anyone can see logged out, fetched by the vendor's own infrastructure. Your account is never involved, so nothing can happen to it, but you can't act: no messages, invites or replies.
- Your own LinkedIn session. The server signs in as you, either with a browser on your computer or a browser or session the vendor runs in the cloud. It can do whatever you can do on LinkedIn. LinkedIn's terms don't allow automated access, so these accounts can be restricted. Limits, working hours and warm-up lower that risk; nothing removes it.
Decide which of the three you need before you compare features.

The servers
stickerdaniel/linkedin-mcp-server
The most popular LinkedIn MCP server by a wide margin, and free. It drives a Chromium browser (Patchright, a Playwright fork) on your machine, signed in as you, and can read profiles, search people and companies, browse jobs and posts, read your inbox, and send messages and connection requests. You install it with uvx or Docker. Its README is honest that automated tools can get accounts restricted or banned and that you use it at your own risk. It isn't in the official MCP Registry. Pick it if you're technical, want it free, and accept the account risk.
Composio LinkedIn
A hosted toolkit on LinkedIn's official API, with Composio handling the OAuth app. Its 22 tools cover your own posts and comments, your profile, company pages and their stats, image uploads and ad targeting. Because it uses the official API there's no account risk, and for the same reason there's no people search and no messaging. Pick it to post and manage company pages from an AI agent.
Bright Data MCP
Bright Data's MCP server includes five LinkedIn tools (person profile, company profile, jobs, posts and people search), fetched from public pages by Bright Data's own infrastructure. Nothing runs on your account and nothing can be sent. The first 5,000 requests a month are free, then $1.50 per 1,000 results. Pick it for research at scale.
Apify MCP
Apify's MCP server can call any Apify "Actor", and several community Actors scrape LinkedIn profiles, company employees, posts and decision makers. Quality and price depend on the Actor you choose. The free plan includes $5 of usage a month. Six Actor-based LinkedIn servers are listed in the official registry on their own.
LinkFetch
Disclosure: this is our product. LinkFetch is a hosted MCP server at https://linkfetch.io/mcp (or npx linkfetch-mcp for clients that only run local servers) that acts through LinkedIn accounts you connect, so it belongs in the same group as stickerdaniel, gtm-api and Linked API, with the same kind of account risk. What it adds:
- Limits on every account: published daily and weekly limits, working hours and a warm-up for new accounts, enforced whatever the AI asks for, with the account pausing itself if LinkedIn shows a check. More on how LinkFetch keeps connected accounts inside safe limits.
- More than one account, each with its own limits and IP.
- LinkedIn jobs and company data with no account: every public LinkedIn job since April 2026 and the companies behind them, plus AI functions to score and sort them.
- Nothing to run locally, and a flat number of credits per tool call.
It's new: launched in October 2026, with no community or star count yet. It's free to start (500 credits, one LinkedIn account); extra accounts are $29 a month and credits start at $19 for 1,000. Pick it if you want people, inbox and outreach tools without running a browser yourself, and want limits around your accounts. Setup for Claude, Cursor and VS Code.
eliasbiondo/linkedin-mcp-server
A smaller open-source server built the same way as stickerdaniel's (Patchright on your session), covering profiles, people search, companies and jobs. Free under MIT, with the same risk note in its README. Its last update was in March 2026.
gtm-api
A hosted server running a cloud anti-detect browser and proxy signed in as you, with more than 160 actions across search, connections, messaging and enrichment. Free for one account, then $39 per account a month. It states plainly that LinkedIn's terms forbid automation, and claims fewer than 1% of more than 20,000 accounts have been restricted (its own figure, which we couldn't check).
Linked API
A hosted cloud browser for your own account, with lead search, profiles, messages and Sales Navigator support, from $49 a seat a month after a 7-day trial. It isn't in the official registry.
Anysite
A general data API with a hosted MCP server covering LinkedIn alongside Instagram, X, Reddit and other sites, through generic "discover" and "execute" tools. The MCP plan is $30 a month. Pick it if LinkedIn is one of several sources you need.
Taplio
Taplio's own MCP server lets an AI draft, schedule, publish and analyze your LinkedIn posts through your Taplio account. It appears in almost every list of LinkedIn MCPs because it's useful for creators, but it isn't for prospecting or messaging. Which Taplio plans include the MCP wasn't clear from its pricing page.
HeyReach MCP
HeyReach's MCP server lets an AI manage HeyReach campaigns, leads and its unified inbox. The MCP itself is free, but you need a HeyReach plan, which starts at $79 per sender a month. Pick it if you already run campaigns in HeyReach; if you're comparing outreach tools, see our HeyReach alternatives roundup.
Unipile MCP
Unipile sells an API for building products on top of users' connected LinkedIn, WhatsApp and email accounts. Its MCP server is a developer tool: it helps an AI explore and test Unipile's endpoints while you build, rather than doing LinkedIn work for you. From €49 a month for up to 10 accounts.
Gone or stale
adhikasp/mcp-linkedin still appears in several lists but its GitHub repository now returns 404. felipfr/linkedin-mcpserver hasn't been updated since March 2025. alinaqi/mcp-linkedin-server asks for your LinkedIn password in a .env file; we'd avoid that.
How to choose
- You only want to post and manage company pages: Composio or Taplio. Official API, no account risk.
- You want research without risking an account: Bright Data, Apify or Anysite.
- You want the full set (people, inbox, messages, invites) for free and are technical: stickerdaniel/linkedin-mcp-server, running on your own machine.
- You want the full set, hosted, with limits around your account: LinkFetch, gtm-api or Linked API. Compare how each one limits activity and how many accounts you need.
- You run outreach campaigns already: use your campaign tool's MCP (HeyReach, Expandi, lemlist and others have one) rather than adding another layer.
What's in the official MCP Registry
A search of the official MCP Registry on October 10, 2026 found 52 servers related to LinkedIn: data and scraping servers, outreach and inbox tools, content planners, ads tools and Apify-based scrapers. Being listed doesn't mean being popular: the most-used open-source server (stickerdaniel's) and Linked API aren't listed at all, while many listed servers have no users we could find. Check a server's repository, last update and README before you trust it with your account.
A word on account safety
If a server acts as you on LinkedIn, LinkedIn can restrict your account, whatever the vendor says. Keep activity well under LinkedIn's weekly invitation limits, stay inside normal working hours, warm up new accounts slowly, and never give a tool your password in a plain file. Prefer servers that publish their limits and let you change them.
